Entry requirements
Mathematics 20 credit points and Computer programming I.
Aims
To give deeper and extended knowledge and skills in
computer programming, give extended knowledge in
algorithms and data structures and to give knowledge
and skills in implementing larger programming projects. All
is directed towards technology and natural sciences.
Content
Programming in Java: inheritance, polymorphism, exceptions. Object oriented analysis and
design. Data structures: stacks, queues, lists, trees and hash tables.
Basic algorithms for storing, searching and sorting.
Programming techniques, tools for software
development. Programming in C
Instruction
Lectures, lessons, laboratory work and
compulsory assignments.
Assessment
Written examination at the end of the course. Passed laboratory course and compulsory assignments are also required.
