Aims

To teach the fundamentals of plastic processing of

metals.

Fundamentals of metal working processes, theory

and practice. Rolling (hot and cold), forging,

extrusion, drawing and sheet metal forming.

Laboratory work:

Deep drawing of sheet metal

(analysis of strain path etc.)

Bending of sheet metal

(analysis of bending/rebending etc.)

Project work: Analysis of an industrial

metalworking process. The student will present

both oral and written reports.

Lectures, lessons, laboratory work and project work.

Oral and written reports during the course.
