Aims

To give basic knowledge of surface chemistry and

thin film deposition processes based on

chemical reactions (CVD).

Surface structure and reconstruction,

thermodynamics of surfaces, surface segregation,

adsorption and desorption, surface reactions,

heterogeneous catalysis. Modification of surfaces

by chemical reactions. Chemical Vapour

Deposition (CVD).

Lectures, lessons and laboratory work.

Written exam at the end of the course. Passed laboratory work and assignments.
