Aims

To give knowledge of methods and computer based tools for describing and analysing dynamical systems.

Content

Examples on dynamic systems in technology, biology and economy. Differential and difference equations. Overview and applications of important

transforms: Fourier, Laplace and Z transforms.

Description in frequency domain. Transfer functions. State space describtion. Introduction to non linear systems.

Linearisation and steady state solutions.

Computer based exercises and assignments.

Instruction

Lectures, lessons, laboratory work and assignments.

Assessment

Written examination at the end of the course. Passed laboratory course is also required.
