Aims

The course provides basic knowledge and skills in

ecology, especially in terrestrialecosystems, to

make it possible to identify and analyse

environmental problems in the society.

Content

Basic concepts in population, community and ecosystem ecology. Population dynamics.

Diversity and succession. Energy and element cycles. Conservation biology.

Instruction

Lectures, seminars and laboratory work.

Assessment

Participation in seminars. Written/oral examination at the end of the course.
