Entry requirements
Mathematics, 20 points (30 ECTS credits),
and computer science, 40 points (60 ECTS credits),
including Computer Systems DV1 and
Object-Oriented Programming DV1, or equivalent
courses.
Aims
To give knowledge about how the architecture for a complex system can be designed from both functional and non-functional requirements.
Content
Architectures for systems with properties such as parallelity, distribution, and flexibility.
Common frameworks for classes of application problems.
Detailed design and comparison of design principles.
Techniques such as prototyping and simulation. Case studies.
A project assignment is an important part of the course.
Instruction
Lectures, guest lectures and laboratory exercises.
Assessment
Written exam and assignments.
