Learning outcomes
After completion of the course the student is expected to
- have a more advanced knowledge of some aspects of the recent development of sacramental theology and/or ecclesiology
- estimate and analyse how this development affects relevant models of pastoral theology in modern Catholic, Episcopal and/or Lutheran churchmanship in USA
- orally and in writing present, discuss, and respond to scientific arguments and conclusions between the pastoral theology, sacramental theology and ecclesiology
- on a high level of understanding apply an analysis to the Swedish situation.
Content
Literature around 1200-1500 pages.
The participant writes a paper on the literature, with regard to his/her professional experience
Instruction
Self studies. A seminar on the participants' papers
Assessment
Examination by the papers mentioned above and by active participation in the seminar.
A completed course is given the marks Godkänd or Väl godkänd.
Other regulations
The papers should be in English or Swedish (all with an abstract in English).
The course could be credited within the course Studies in Church and Mission C1.
Transitional provisions
Members of a course regulated by a former version of this course plan have the possibility to be examined in accordance with that course plan within two years after the closure of the course. If there are particular reasons, such an examination can take place also later on. Normally no instruction in accordance with former versions of the course plan is given.
