Entry requirements
Bachelor's degree of Science of at least 180 credits, including 90 credits in Chemistry
Learning outcomes
After completion the course, the student should be able to
- present theoretical knowledge necessary for studies at the advanced level within analytical chemistry
- independently plan laboratory work and carry out risk assessment
- evaluate experiments by means of established methods
- keep laboratory record and write laboratory reports
- give an error estimate in received analytical results
- compare results from different methods
Content
Overview of spectroscopic and chromatographic methods theoretically and practically. Overview of relevant statistical methods.
Instruction
Lectures and/or seminars, laboratory sessions. Laboratory sessions are compulsory.
Assessment
Written examination is organised at the end of the course and correspond 5 credits. The laboratory sessions including presentations correspond 5 credits. The final grade is received such as a joining of the results of the written examination and the laboratory sessions.
