Aims
The course aims at increasing the students' awareness of attitudes towards aging and an understanding of and skills in physiotherapy assessment, treatment and evaluation with focus on functional disorders of the elderly.
Content
Attitudes to the elderly. Methods for physiotherapeutic examinations, treatment and evaluation with focus on functional disorders of the elderly.
Instruction
Teaching is in the form of lectures, practical exercises, group analysis, and presentations of cases and an in-depth assignment equalling one point.
Assessment
Satisfactory completion of the course requires passing of the oral presentation of a patient case, passing of the written and oral presentation of the in-depth assignment.
