Entry requirements
In order to be accepted to the course the participant must have a minimum of 60 ECTS credits. The participant should have adequate knowledge of spoken and written English.
Aims
AIMS
The course aims at enhancing participants’ preparedness for a future teaching profession in a multicultural school. The participants shall acquire knowledge of migration, global and national. The participants shall acquire a deeper understanding of integration and segregation and its consequences for children and young adults with immigrant backgrounds.
Content
CONTENT
The course consists of:
– migration history
– free and forced migration
– migration: regional aspects and cultural effects
– didactic perspectives on teaching and learning
Instruction
FORMS AND ACTIVITIES
The teaching will be carried through via lectures, seminars and field studies.
Assessment
EXAMINATION
The examination will take place through assessment and evaluation of oral and written assignments.
The grades Fail, Pass or Pass with Distinction will be used.
