General provisions
The degree project can be carried out within or outside the university or as a collaborative project. The subject should be established by an examiner at the Faculty of Pharmacy after having consulted student and supervisor. Before course introduction, the choice of supervisor and the plan for the work should be accepted by the Faculty of Pharmacy's examiner. The student should be registered at the Faculty of Pharmacy. In addition to the compulsory written and oral presentations of the degree project the project may also be presented in a popular scientific manner through participation with a poster or a talk in a symposium that has been organised at the end of the semester. This course substitutes and corresponds to the 3FI114 Degree Project in Pharmaceutical Biochemistry.
Entry requirements
For students on the Bachelor of Science Programme in Pharmacy applies that at least 120 credits within the programme including the course Pharmaceutical Biochemistry with cell biology 7.5 credits should be approved as well as all earlier courses within the programme.
Content
An individual assignment guided by a supervisor that is carried out in close connection with ongoing research or development projects.
Instruction
Teaching is given in the form of individual supervision, seminars and literature studies. Compulsory parts of the course: Written presentation of the degree project and oral presentation through participation in a general seminar announced by the department and a popular compilation of the project in the form of e g a poster or a talk.
Assessment
The completed work is presented orally before an audience and as a written report that has the form of a scientific essay. To obtain the grade pass, an approved essay as well as participation in all compulsory parts are required.
