Content

The course offers experience of different professional activities that include a historical environmental perspective. It integrates theory and practice, offers experience of work tasks of general importance for the discipline and lays the foundation for a professional attitude towards colleagues, employers and customers. The course is offered at one or several institutions/companies where the student carries out relevant work under the guidance of an appointed supervisor.

A written agreement, worked out and signed by the student, appointed supervisor and director of studies, should be established on an individual basis.

Instruction

The teaching is primarily offered in the form of supervision with feedback during the work at the institution/company as well as seminars at the university department offering the course.

Assessment

The evaluation of knowledge and skills is done on a continuous basis. Except for normal assessments criteria, attendance during work hours is an important criteria. The evaluation emphasises the student’s abilities to demonstrate good judgment and a professional attitude. The student must write a report that describes the work tasks carried out, how they relate to the aims of the company/institution and a critical evaluation of them.
