In addition to the compulsory written and oral presentation of the degree project it should also be presented in a popular science manner through participation with a poster or a talk in a symposium that is organised at the end of the semester.

Entry requirements

For students on the Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Programme, it is required that at least 120 credits within the programme should be passed and the student should have followed all earlier courses.

For single subject course, passed courses about at least 150 credits are required of which at least 60 credits bioscience or pharmaceutical science including pharmacology, students on the Chemical Engineering Programme with at least 45 credits chemistry and 30 credits drug-related courses. Other undergraduate programme after individual trial.

Content

An individual assignment that is carried out guided by a supervisor in close connection with ongoing research or development projects.

Instruction

The educational instruction is carried out in the form of individual supervision, seminars and literature studies. Compulsory parts of the course: Course start, written presentation of the degree project as well as oral presentation of the work through participation in a general seminar announced by the department as well as a popular compilation of the project work in the form of e g a poster or a talk in the symposium that is organised in the end of the semester.

Assessment

The degree project is presented orally and written in a report that has the form of a scientific essay, including a popular compilation. A passing grade requires passed oral presentation including opposing on another student's project (1,5 credits), participation in the student symposium (1,5 credits), passed written report and participation in all other compulsory parts.
