Entry requirements

For students on the pharmacy programme, general rules apply established by the Curriculum Committee of the Faculty of Pharmacy (see the programme curriculum). At least 180 credits within the programme should be approved including toxicology. For single subject course is required 180 credits, including at least 90 credits pharmaceutical bioscience and/or pharmaceutical science (of which at least 15 credits toxicology), or the equivalent. knowledge from medical, technical-scientific, dental, veterinary science, caring sciences or the equivalent. foreign education. Content

An individual assignment is carried out guided by a supervisor in close connection with ongoing research or development projects. The advanced course (degree project) can be carried out within or except the university or as a collaborative project. The subject for the project work should be established of examiner at the Faculty of Pharmacy after having consulted the student and the supervisor. Before course introduction, choices of supervisors and the planning of the work should be accepted by the Faculty of Pharmacy's examiner. The student should be registered on advanced course within the Faculty of Pharmacy. For management of the project work, supervisors should be available on the location where the work is carried out.

Instruction

Teaching be announced in the form of individual supervision and seminars. For students within the pharmacy programme that not has read another toxicology in addition to the basic course of the program in toxicology is offered in case of a vacancy and resources the possibility to deeper knowledge in the subject in the form of a seminar series that is given running during the term. Compulsory parts of the course: Course start, written presentation of the degree project as well as oral presentation of the work through participation in a general seminar announced by the department as well as a popular compilation of the project work in the form of e g a poster or a talk in the symposium that is organised in the end of the semester.

Assessment

The degree project is presented orally and written in a report that has the form of a scientific essay, including a popular compilation. A passing grade requires passed oral presentation including opposing on another student's project (1,5 credits), participation in the student symposium (1,5 credits), passed written report and participation in all other compulsory parts.
