Entry requirements
A Bachelor's degree, equivalent to a Swedish Kandidatexamen, from an internationally recognised university. The main field of study must be within the humanities or social sciences. Also required is 60 credits in anthropology or ethnology. Proficiency in English equivalent to the general entry requirements for first-cycle (Bachelor's level) studies.
Content
This is an advanced level introductory course for anthropology and ethnology students. You will be introduced to the ongoing research at the department anchored in the history of ideas and current thematic and theoretical developments of the two disciplines.
Instruction
The course is comprised of one or more of the following forms: lectures, seminars, field practice. Language of instruction is English.
Assessment
The examination will be in one or more of the following forms: home exam, memo writing, group work, active seminar participation and oral presentations. The course will be graded pass with distinction (VG), pass (G) or fail (U).
