Entry requirements
Applicants to the course is accepted for Master in humanities with specialisation Classical Archaeology and Ancient History.
Learning outcomes
After completion of the course, the student should be able to:
- account for and contribute to current theory and methods for the topic relevant to the thematic study
- identify, evaluate and critically discuss relevant research history and current state
- account for and critically discuss relevant sources as well as source criticism
Content
The course will be based on individual in-depth study of literature related to a chosen theme after agreement with the supervisor.
Instruction
Instruction consists of individual tutoring in Swedish or in English depending on the student’s language.
Assessment
Examination is in the form of oral presentation and the writing of a scientifically designed article in Swedish or in English.
If there are special reasons for doing so, an examiner may make an exception from the method of assessment indicated and allow a student to be assessed by another method. An example of special reasons might be a certificate regarding special pedagogical support from the University's disability coordinator.
