Entry requirements
A Bachelor's degree, equivalent to a Swedish Kandidatexamen, from an internationally recognised university. Proficiency in English equivalent to the general entry requirements for first-cycle (Bachelor's level) studies
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of this course the student is expected to have knowledge about the fundaments and limits of musical analysis, and the ability to carry out and evaluate musical analyses.
Content
The fundaments of musical analysis, with a focus on specific musical analytical theories and methods.
Instruction
Instruction takes the form of lectures and seminars.
Assessment
Examination will be in the form of active participation in discussions and the presentation of assignments.
If there are special reasons for doing so, an examiner may make an exception from the method of assessment indicated and allow a student to be assessed by another method. An example of special reasons might be a certificate regarding special pedagogical support from the University's disability coordinator.
