Entry requirements
120 credits including Digital Electronics and Computer programming.
Content
Fast repetition of digital design basics. Introduction to VHDL and how the language is catching parallel and sequential processes.
Libraries,packages and subprograms. Structural VHDL. State machines. Simulation and test methods.RTL-synthesis and construction methods.
Usual errors and construction examples.
Behavioural synthesis and future tools.
Instruction
Lessons,lectures,excersis and project work.
Assessment
Well-done project work.
If there are special reasons for doing so, an examiner may make an exception from the method of assessment indicated and allow a student to be assessed by another method. An example of special reasons might be a certificate regarding special pedagogical support from the disability coordinator of the university.
