Learning outcomes

After passed examination of the course, students should be able to:

  • master the Middle Egyptian grammar on a more advanced level
  • translate more demanding Middle Egyptian texts
  • have acquired a more extensive Middle Egyptian vocabulary

Content

The course introduces students to the more complex aspects of the Middle Egyptian grammatical system.

Instruction

Teaching is in the form of lectures, literature studies, and seminars with written and oral student presentations. Participation in seminars are mandatory. The teaching language is English.

Assessment

Assessment takes the form of assessed written and oral submitted work as well as set exams.

If there are special reasons for doing so, an examiner may make an exception from the method of assessment indicated and allow a student to be assessed by another method. An example of special reasons might be a certificate regarding special pedagogical support from the University's disability coordinator.
