Aims
The course will introduce techniques and
principles for intelligent interfaces.
Content
Applications for intelligent user interfaces, generic design principles, various techniques for realizing intelligent user interfaces. The following applications are discussed: help systems, teaching systems, filtering and searching, multi-modal interaction. The following techniques are discussed: generating explanations, user modelling, planning, teaching interfaces. The course also includes some basic areas of artificial intelligence.
Instruction
Lectures, lessons and laboratory work.
Assessment
Written examination, two labs and a compulsory
assignment. Re-examination after a passing grade
is not allowed.
