Aims

The course provides knowledge about construction

and programming of embedded systems based on

microcontrollers. The software-hardware trade-off

and the interaction between those parts are

emphasised.

Content

Microcontroller architecture and internal devices.

Memory technologies. Interfacing to digital and

analogue signals. Low-level programming and hardware

drivers. Cross-development tools. Project management.

Instruction

Lectures and project work.

Assessment

Demonstration of the project, written project

report and oral examination.
