Entry requirements

Students must be accepted to the M. Sc. Programme in Psychology. In order to attend this course, a minimum of 240 University credits from the M. Sc. Programme in Psychology must be completed.

Learning outcomes

After completion of this course the student should, in relation to other courses within the M. Sc. Programme in Psychology, be able to clearly present expanded and deepened knowledge and skills within the chosen area(s) of the course. The precise goals for each course are specified in each individual course syllabus.

Content

Each student, or group of students, chooses the area within which he/she wishes to acquire expanded/deepened knowledge and composes a syllabus for the course, in collaboration with an appropriate teacher. This plan is to be accepted and established by the course leader, who is also the examiner, prior to the start of the course. The syllabus should include headings as prescribed by the Department. The course may include two courses comprising 7.5 University credits or one course comprising 15 University credits.

The various modes of teaching involved in the course are specified in the accepted and established syllabus.

Assessment

Evaluation of the student’s acquired knowledge is carried out as specified in the accepted and established syllabus.

Other regulations

Other requirements, prerequisites, or conditions for participation in and completion of the course, e.g., mandatory presence, construction of individual tasks, etc., will be specified in information given at the start of the course. Students who do not fulfil the requirements for a passing grade within ordinary course time, is often prescribed supplementary assignments by the course teacher.
