Knowledge and achievements corresponding to courses in chemistry, mathematics and technology during the first two years of the program.
Aims
The participant will get knowledge and practical experience of important spectrochemical methods and their usefulnes as an isolated technique or in combination with separation techniques as well as the construction and maintenance of the instruments.
Content
Instrumental analytical methods within the area of atomic and molecular spectroscopy, like spectrophotometry in UV/V, NIR and IR-area, atomic absorption- and atomic-emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES), masspectrometry and NMR.
Instruction
Lectures, lessons, demonstrations and laboratory work. Compulsory moments: Course introduction, laboratory work, demonstrations and projects.
Assessment
Written examination at the and of the course. Passed laboratory work is also required. Examination is given 5 points and laboratory work 2 points.
