Aims
The course is intended to give knowledge in
- experimental methods in organic chemistry
- structure-activity relation chips
- theories and experimental methods in organic chemistry
- organic chemical industry.
Content
Structure activity relation chips. Some of the important organic reactions and their reaction mechanisms. The importance of stereochemistry for biological systems. Descriptive organic chemistry. Basic knowledge in application of spectroscopic methods in structure determination. Laboratory techniques and syntheses.
Instruction
Lectures, lessons and laboratory work.
Assessment
Written examination during and/or at the end of the course. Passed exercises and laboratory work are assigned 2 points.
