Content

This course focuses on the characteristic features of the welfare state in different countries. The preconditions for the rise and the demise of welfare state are analysed and discussed. Since this is an international course, with students from many different countries, great emphasis is placed on the discussions so that we can utilise this unique opportunity to learn about the latest developments in the different countries and of how the different welfare models work in practise. This course is given for exchange students.

Instruction

Lectures, seminars. Tuition language is English.

Assessment

The examination is a course paper and the grade on the paper accounts for the credits of the course. Active, constructive participation in discussions and debates is required.
