Fluid mechanics, Hydrology, Soil science, Geohydraulics and water resource planning.

Aims

Provide knowledge in design methodology for technical systems used in exploitation of water resourses, like irregation canals, drainage systems, earth fill dams and erosion protections. Give understanding of the principels of a sustainable exploitaion of water resourses.

Content

Application of basic knowledge in geotechnology, soil science and hydraulics on design assignemnt. Erosion. Design principles for different technical systems within water resources engineering with respect to discharge capacity, stability, safety

and economy.

Written examination at the end of the course. Passed assignments and project work.
