scientific programming MN1.
Aims
The aim of the course is to introduce basic concepts
and methods used in computer graphics.
Content
Linear and affine mappings in Rn, n=2, 3, 4.
Elements of projective geometry. Bezier curves
and splines. Elements of differential geometry
in three dimensions, surfaces and mesh
structures. Group theory and symmetry. Cyclic
and dihedral groups, crystallographic conditions.
Frieze and wallpaper groups.
Instruction
Web based course.
Assessment
Written and/or oral examination at the end of the
course. Compulsory hand-in assignments may be
given during the course.
