Aims

Ability to interface a measurement system to a computer bus.

Content

An orientation about different computer bus standards is given while GPIB- and ISA- buses are studied in more detail. Different circuits for converting digital to analogue and analogue to digital signals are treated. A lot of practical exercises are devoted to both the hard ware and software aspects of a computer based system. An introduction to LabVIEW-programming is given.

Instruction

Lectures, lessons, laboratory work and project work.

Assessment

Normally, the project work and reports with an oral examination on project related subjects.
