Aims
The course presents goals and methods within bioinformatics and modern biotechnology.
Content
The course gives an overview of biology as a foundation for modern biotechnology. An introduction to bioinformatics and biotechnology. Medical and industrial biotechnology and bioinformatics. The biotechnical industry. Current labour market. Future perspectives.
Practicals: Introduction to computer practices in biotechnology and bioinformatics.
