Entry requirements
140 credit points of completed courses within the current engineering programme are expected.
The Degree project is normally the finishing course of the education and is performed in the 5th year of the programme.
Aims
By taking the Degree project course the student is to acquire practice and improve the ability of

Individual work where knowledge achieved within
the programme is applied and deepened. The
subject of the thesis is chosen before start of
the work by the student in consultation with
the supervisor and the examiner. The work is
performed in an industrial company, an university
department or at a central or local authority.
The course also contains studies of literature
connected to the chosen subject.
Instruction
Research or development work, written report, individual supervision and seminars.
Assessment
The work shall be presented orally at a seminar. The peer review of another Degree project work within the same programme is also a part of the examination.
The Degree project should be presented in a report written in English and Swedish. All reports should contain a popular scientific abstract in ca 2 pages in Swedish. A report written in Swedish should even contain a short scientific abstract in English. The report shall contain an introduction to the subject area, a description of the objective of the work and the overall design to solve the problem, experimental methods used, results, discussion, references to the literature and a list of literature read in connection with the thesis work.
