At least 25 points/37.5 ECTS credits in mathematics, 25 points/37.5 ECTS credits in physics, Introduction to the Physics of the Atmosphere and of the Earth MN1, Atmospheric physics and chemistry MN1, Synoptic Meteorology and Weather Chart Analysis MN1 or equivalent.
Aims
To provide basic knowledges of the causes for climates, climate factors, the global distri-
-bution of climates and palaeoclimatology as well as statistical calculation methods in climatology.
Content
General circulation of the atmosphere. Conservation of angular momentum and energy on a global scale. General and regional climatology. Meso- and microscale climatology. Climate variations. Methods in applied climatology. Statistical methods.
