Aims

The course will give knowledge in regression analysis.

Content

Simple and multiple linear regression. The

general linear model. Residual analysis.

Transformation of variables. Non-linear

regression. Orthogonal polynomials. Step-wise

regression. Statistical program packages SAS and

MINITAB.

Instruction

Lectures, problem solving sessions and

laboratory sessions.

Assessment

Written and, possibly, supplementary oral

examination at the end of the course. Compulsory

assignments during the course.
