75 ECTS credits of Mathematical Statistics or
Statistics.
Aims
To give an introduction to the statistical theory for treatment of categorical data, especially as applied to biology and medicine.
Content
Analysis of bivariate categorical data.
Correlation measures. General linear models, in
particular log-linear and logit models. Probit
analysis. Analysis of multivariate categorical
data. Logistic regression. Construction of models,
strategies for the choice of models. Model
fitting using the ML-method. Applications.
Statistical software.
Instruction
Lectures, problem solving sessions and
laboratory sessions.
Assessment
Written and, possibly, supplementary oral
examination at the end of the course. Compulsory
assignments during the course.
