Introduction to computer use and the operating system UNIX. Introduction to tools such as the command interpreter, editors and text handling.

Introduction to the parts of the computer and

their use.

Ethical, legal and ergonomical aspects of computer use. The contents of the Computer Science education.

File management, electronic mail and other means of communication, using the Internet., finding and understanding help texts and manuals.

Instruction

Lectures and laboratory exercises.

Guest lectures.

Assessment

Mandatory exercises and written examination.
