Among the books preserved at Uppsala library, there is an edition of Tabula Cebetis, a Greek work highly popular during the Renaissance.

The Uppsala copy is printed 1517 in Vienna and has a woodcut illustration – not known from other editions of this moralizing dialogue.

In this lecture Dr hab. Justyna Kiliańczyk-Zięba (The Jagiellonian University Kraków), will focus on the design and appearance of this unique book. She will also look at the Uppsala volume – the Sammelband in which this copy of the Tabula has survived to the present day.

This is an open lecture held in English, organized by Uppsala University Library with funding from Thore and Vera Virgin's fond. No registration needed.
