Två nya masteruppsatser inom ANItA-centret

In 2024, no less than two master's theses have been published within the framework of the national competence center ANItA.

Yadnesh Abhaykumar Kuthe has in his thesis Navigating Nuclear Technology Transition Challenges in Spent Nuclear Fuel Management in Sweden explored the challenges of spent nuclear fuel in Sweden and finds that there exist technical challenges such as limited SNF storage capacity at the interim storage facility in Sweden. In addition, non-technical challenges such as ineffective decision-making processes and inadequate collaboration between crucial institutions have also been identified as potential barriers to current SNF management in Sweden.

Saumitra Kumar Singh has in his thesis Exploring the Adoption of SMRs in Sweden A Qualitative Study of SMR Technology and Perceptions within the Swedish Base Industry provided a detailed examination of the perspectives held by Sweden's base industries about SMRs, as well as identified the key factors that will shape their perception.
