In September and October, I got the opportunity to work as a guest researcher at the Gender and Work (GaW) Project at Uppsala University. This research stay allowed me to engage with scholars in Uppsala and discuss early modern sources from both Sweden and The Netherlands, my own research and themes like labor, social mobility, and gender roles - which are all important in my work on the descendants of immigrants in early modern Amsterdam.
