With this application we seek for the funds to invite world-leading experts as keynote speakers to the 11th International Conference on Low Energy Antiproton Physics (LEAP2013). This biennial event has been awarded to Uppsala and will be held June 10-15, 2013 at the Ångström Laboratory. WEB address: is interdisciplinary and it is the main conference in the field. It covers many key questions of contemporary research: What are the fundamental symmetries of nature and in which way are they violated? Why is there basically no antimatter in the Universe? How do the strong interaction and its symmetries shape the structure of hadrons? Does matter and antimatter react in the same way to gravity? What is dark matter? The current rapid development of antiproton physics is due to its potential to address these burning questions. The recent highly celebrated synthesis and trapping of antihydrogen atoms at CERN provides unique opportunities to probe the fundamental laws and symmetries of nature and to understand how antiatoms interact with other atoms and with gravity. The spectacular successes of antiproton physics have led to the on-going construction of new antiproton facilities: the ELENA antiproton decelerator at CERN and FAIR in Germany. Satellite searches for antiprotons add essential information to the understanding of dark matter.
