  • Lecturer: Catherine Lyall is a Professor of Science and Public Policy at School of Social and Political Science at the University of Edinburgh. Professor Lyall is experienced in policy issues related to the governance of science, technology, innovation and the promotion and management of interdisciplinary research, research evaluation, and the assessment of research impact. Her research seeks to advance an understanding of problems of science and technology policy formation and strategic decision-making by adopting interdisciplinary and practitioner-based perspectives. Natalie Dupin is Professor Lyalls Ph.D. candidate, that will during the fall defend her thesis ‘The influence of Interdisciplinary Training on the Next Generation of Scientists’.

WOMHER and CIRCUS welcome you to an inspiring afternoon talk focusing on interdisciplinary research, together with Professor Catherine Lyall and PhD candidate Nathalie Dupin from the University of Edinburgh.

We welcome all researchers at Uppsala university that are involved in interdisciplinary research projects, supervisors to interdisciplinary PhD students and employees that are curious to learn more about interdisciplinarity collaborations.

The talk will be followed by discussion, networking and mingle with some refreshments.
