A stringy realization of dark bubble cosmology

Authors: Ulf Danielsson, Oscar Henriksson, Daniel Panizo Preprint number: UUITP-49/22 Abstract: In this paper we construct a stringy embedding of the dark bubble model of an expanding 4D cosmology. The universe rides a bubble of true vacuum, which has nucleated in an unstable higher dimensional background. Our construction is a string theoretical realization of Vilenkin’s quantum cosmology. Even though the cosmological constant vanishes at lowest order, higher order corrections, implementing the WGC, induce a phenomenologically viable cosmological constant. We discuss a possible connection with the dark dimension.
