What research projects or activities can we expect to see from you next?

- I am starting to work more and more on impacts of climate extremes, and I am starting some new exciting collaborations on the topic with colleagues from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and RISE. Hopefully some initial results will be coming out next year (2023).

What do you enjoy most about research?

- Definitely the variety in each and every one of my working days, from mentoring younger colleagues to writing to coding to travelling to meetings to teaching and more.

What is your favourite memory or accomplishment at the Department of Earth Sciences so far?

- Some of my fondest memories are from the group meetings within Meteorology and LUVAL, and the first department-wide meeting shortly after I was hired. It was very exciting to both meet all my new colleagues and explore the breadth of topics covered within Geo. An accomplishment I remember being particularly proud of was the first research grant (a FORMAS project) which I obtained as Geo employee.

Apart from research, what are some hobbies you enjoy?

- Until recenty I was an avid hiker in summer and cross-country skier in winter, as well as a regular visitor to Kungliga Operan in Stockholm. However, since a few months back virtually all of my free time is dedicated to my newborn child.
