Neil Davies is a sedimentary geologist who studies Palaeozoic-aged successions to reveal and interpret the feedback between organisms and physical environmental processes, notably the changes in sedimentary regimes that accompanied the rise of land vegetation. He has investigated Devonian non-marine strata in Arctic Canada, Australia, Svalbard, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.

Dr Neil Davies is Lecturer in Sedimentary Geology at the Department of Earth Sciences of the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. His departmental webpage can be found here
