Matthew Cowen, MSc

Matthew Cowen is a biogeochemist investigating the habitats and palaeobiology of Devonian vertebrates, with a particular focus on the evolution of early tetrapods. He has experience performing elemental and isotopic analyses on both fossil and extant vertebrate material from a wide range of taxa, utilising geochemical data to gain insights into the interactions between organisms and their environments.

Matthew Cowen is PhD student at the Subdepartment of Evolution and Development, part of the Department of Organismal Biology at Uppsala University, Sweden. His departmental webpage can be found here.
