Dr. László Harmat, Linnéuniversitetet:
“Music and Health: How Choir Singing as a Cultural Activity May Influence Our Well-being and Quality of Life”
László Harmat gives a lecture on how music and choir singing as a cultural activity can influence our well-being and quality of life. He is a researcher in music psychology and leads the research project “Choir Singing and Healthy Aging: Efficacy and Underlying Neural Mechanisms”, in collaboration with Karolinska Institutet and Stockholm University. The project follows a group of healthy choir singers, aged 65-75, over one year. The aim is to evaluate how participation in choir singing may potentially promote physical health, emotional well-being, social engagement, and cognitive functions in older individuals.
