The conference aims to deepen the understanding of restorative justice by bringing together perspectives from both research and practice. By highlighting experiences from Swedish social work as well as incorporating an international perspective from Ukraine, the conference will illustrate how restorative justice is shaped within different legal and social contexts. The international contribution enables a comparative discussion on how mediation and restorative practices are implemented, institutionalized, and given meaning in different societies. In this way, the conference contributes to broadening the understanding of both the opportunities and limitations involved in repairing harm and addressing conflicts.
