Kort presentation
I min grupp studerar vi fossilt och modernt dna från växter. Vi använder modern dna-teknologi, det som kallas next-generation sequencing tillsammans med komplexa bioinformatiska analyser för att studera vad som skett tidigare - under istiderna - till växter. Vi hoppas att detta kan hjälpa oss också att få en bättre förståelse för vad som kan hända i framtiden som en följd av den av människan orsakade klimatförändringen.
Biografi
I work at the Department of Ecology and Genetics since 2002. After my PhD at the Swedish Agricultural University in Umeå and my post-doc at Uppsala University, I achieved docentur in 2012 at Uppsala University. Here, I had a research position from 2008 to 2012 funded by the Swedish Research Council (VR) and the Carl Trygger Foundation. From January 2014 I hold a second VR research position.

Research in my lab focuses on the ecology and evolution of forest tree populations using fossil and modern DNA data. I am interested in studying how genetic variation and demographic history of trees have been shaped in natural populations during the climatic events of the last hundred thousands of years.
