Forskning
Silvia's research studies the regulation of artificial intelligence, online platforms’ liability and algorithmic online content moderation. Her research examines the dichotomy between a Regulation “of” Platforms regime (i.e. moderation required by the law) and a Regulation “by” Platforms (i.e. voluntary self-regulation set up in contractual provisions that Online Platforms unilaterally enforce on their users through their Terms and Condition).
Silvia regularly lectures in advanced courses both at universities and professional events. She has several publications around her research interests which include Intellectual Property Law (mainly copyright issues connected to the creative industries and new technologies), Law and Technology, and Private Law issues connected to upcoming AI shifts in society.
She holds a quinquennial law degree and a master of laws specialisation in private international law and arbitration from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (Milan - Italy), as well as a master of laws in European intellectual property law from Stockholm Universitet (Sweden).
She is a member of the Milan Bar Association since 2017.
