Hi, my name is Liam Hamed Taghavian. I am a postdoc researching on battery ageing under the supervision of Dr. Jens Sjölund. Before joining Uppsala University (UU), I was a visiting PhD student at the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) where I studied symmetry in control problems and a PhD student at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) where I studied positive systems.
Forskning
Battery technology: Fast charging protocols, Phase-field models.
Navigating chemical design spaces for metal-ion batteries via machine-learning-guided phase-field simulations (link).
Control theory: Optimal control, Data-driven methods, Nonlinear analysis.
Transient performance of linear systems through symmetric polynomials (link).
Fractional calculus: Differential equations, Distributed-order dynamics.
Analytic solution of a system of linear distributed order differential equations in the Reimann-Liouville sense (link).
Combinatorics: Convolution algebra, Umbral calculus.
A fast algorithm for computing Bell polynomials based on prime factorization (link).
