Are you, or will you, be teaching problem solving sessions (lektioner) within a course? Are you unsure how to do this, or do you already know how to do this, but wish to improve? This is the seminar for you!
In this seminar, we will look into the concrete aspects of being a teacher in problem solving sessions. We will discuss what autonomy you have within the boundaries of the course, and how to use this autonomy to develop an effective teaching style. In particular, we will talk about how to involve the students in appropriate ways during the problem solving session. To do so, we will talk about cognitive models and look into the practical aspects of giving students an appropriate framework, so that they get something more of the problem solving session than if they work on their own or just copy what you write on the blackboard.
We will focus on the concrete teaching-in-the-classroom situation, and do not assume any previous teaching experience. The seminar will be in English. Welcome!
