Litteraturseminarium - Scientific writing and the role of GenAI

For this literature seminar we will read the article "Feedback encounters in doctoral supervision: the role of generative AI chatbots", by Jensen et al, 2025, https://doi.org/10.1080/02602938.2025.2478155

The authors have performed a study on scientific writing in a supervision team, using both supervisor feedback and simulated chatbot conversations. The authors reflect on the roles of ChatGPT and supervisors in shaping a meaningful learning for doctoral students. We will discuss how this can impact our supervision of students (Bachelor, Master, PhD) and the support we can offer them in academic writing.
